Dance drama Sati Leela, the breaking of the bow, and an exchange between Lakshman and Parshuram, along with the wedding of Lord Ram, were enacted on the third day of the ongoing Shri Ram Katha in the state capital on Sunday. The Katha, held at the Ravindra Bhawan open-air auditorium, is directed by Suman Saha and hosted by the Culture Department of the state government. The Sati Leela presentation depicted the story from the early creation period, where the original deity Brahma strives for the expansion of life. He realises that the union of Shiva and Shakti is essential for the welfare of the world. Brahma inspires one of his sons, Daksharaja, to undertake penance to obtain a powerful daughter instead of numerous sons.Obeying his fathers command, Daksharaja begins his penance to please Goddess Jagdamba. Meanwhile, Brahma himself invokes Goddess Jagdamba, praying that she be born as Daksharajas daughter and marry Shiva. Sati is born, and when she comes of marriageable age, Brahma and Vishnu pray to Shiva to marry Dakshaputri Sati, whom they deem the most suitable bride. Unable to refuse his beloved Brahma and Vishnu, Shiva agrees to the marriage. However, upon seeing Sati, Shiva becomes captivated. He proposes a Gandharva marriage, but Sati declines, insisting that he first seek her fathers permission. Shiva agrees and does just that. The wedding procession arrives, and the marriage takes place, following which Shiva takes Sati to Sage Agastya after a brief interlude at Kailash. At Agastyas place, they also listen to the tale of Lord Ram. As Shiva and Sati return while praising Shri Ram, they encounter Lord Ram and Lakshman searching for Sita. Upon seeing Lord Ram, Shiva bows to him, leaving Sati astonished by Lord Rams divinity.
